Hoosier Burn Camp is asking for our help in voting for Jeff Saturday / HBC. Harrah’s Hoosier Park Racing & Casino and 2020 Breeders Crown Presenting Sponsor The Libfeld-Katz Breeding Partnership are excited to present the Breeders Crown Charity Challenge benefiting four non-profit organizations. Funds for the Breeders Crown Charity Challenge will be generated by donations from major Standardbred breeding and racing partnerships through a Glamour Boy Challenge in the 3-year-old pacing colt division, in which the partnerships will donate 1% of their horse earnings through November 1. The additional funds will be raised through the donation of a 2021 breeding to several of the industry’s top stallions at the 2020 Lexington Yearling Sale on Tuesday, October 6 at 6:45 p.m.
Voting is really quite simple as you can only vote once per Facebook account throughout the whole challenge. You simply click the HBC and Jeff Saturday box, it will show a blue and white checkmark and you are done. No need to submit anything and the vote will increase by one after you click on the box. I am asking people to consider what I am calling a 10/25/50/100 pledge. In short, asking for your one personal vote is usually not too daunting for almost all, but can you strive for more. I personally have a family of 4, so that would mean garnering 6 more votes if I commit to procuring 10. Others would have no trouble getting 25 or 50 through their extended family, place of employment, sports/club/board/church or any other sort of social connection. Lastly, some might be able to secure 100 or more through their place of employment or one of the other large connective elements aforementioned. On a personal level, I usually avoid asking people in my personal or professional network to copy and paste messages or to vote since so much of society had general fatigue from all of the voting and surveys they are bombarded by on a daily, weekly, or monthly timeframe. In this particular case, the generosity and payout for winning this challenge is so substantial, it is worth that rare occasion when all of us associated with Hoosier Burn Camp need those who love and support us to pause and take the short amount of time that can translate into a donation that can really make a difference. This is a difference making sort of donation, and there is no cost to vote. If I can get every volunteer department to commit to 10-50 votes, we should win this contest in a landslide! Thank you in advance for your consideration. We are currently leading and need your vote to maintain that lead!
