Hello IVFA Friends and family:

I hope everyone is safe and well. What a year so far???  I have a good friend that normally is almost as good as the Farmers Almanac at predicting the weather, worldly events and such Bill, what happened buddy? Ron took page two didn't he?

2020 is one for the History books our new Normal. But we will over come it and be stronger from this life learning experience. Maybe this is one of our wake up calls in the world. Those old enough to remember stores closed on Sundays people helping each other, talking to your neighbors what a breath of fresh air. To all the men and women that make up the Emergency Services Personnel across the State of Indiana, Thank You For Your Service, Job Well Done.

The IVFA has tried to keep everyone informed on our website with the latest on the (COVID-19). I hope our Officers reached out to you to make sure your departments were safe and if you needed anything where to look for it. We are Blessed too have three key people (Fire Fighters) that UNDERSTAND what WE the FIRE SERVICE need to do our jobs. Thank You Marshal Thacker and Director Cox and Training Director Walling and your Staff for all your hard work.

If you haven't heard yet the IVFA June 2020 Convention at Evansville is Canceled. And is POSTPONED till a Later DATE. We are still going to TRY and put on a Shorter version of the 2020 Convention later in the year sometime, August or later in the year in or around the Indianapolis area. Stay tuned to the IVFA website for more info on Convention 2020 where will it be?

PLEASE when you are filling out your dues packet's CORRECT THE FIRE DEPT. INFO and OFFICERS and DOUBLE CHECK YOUR JOINED Fire Service Date. The joined date will always be the first fire dept. that you ever joined no matter how many Fire Dept. you have been on. SIS will turn 40 again this year wish her a Happy Birthday.

Hey Abrams: THANK YOU for all the fun times and all the Memories. I know you were getting tired, you rest now and we will take it from here.

Not sure when District Meetings will start up again maybe doing Meetings via webinars or zoom or something else a learning curve for all.

Be safe, Be careful, if your Department needs something contact Your District Chairman or the Central Office or give me a call.
