An Open Thank you letter…
To all who attended the 2018 IVFA State Convention

THANK YOU to all of you who attended the 2018 IVFA State Convention in Indianapolis June 20–23 (or any portion thereof). It is you who made the convention what it was.

From my standpoint (one who helped host this years convention) it was deemed a "success" in terms of sharing of information, education, opportunities and activities.

We offered something for everyone, including the normal Annual Meeting of the Members, annual Awards Banquet with a well known "dynamite" keynote speaker Chief Bobby Halton, the voice of the FDIC, educational opportunities including both Fire and EMS with great professional presenters such as Chief Halton, FDIC, Chief Victor Stagnaro, NFFF, Medical Doctors and staff, and many great stand by who we have all heard from before that does a super job for a total of some eight seminars over a two day period.

We brought in a vendor's showcase including some 30 table tops and more than eight outside showcase participants in addition to General Motors with their newly released Public Safety Savings package and their drive and ride event with 10 brand new GM automobiles including the famous Corvette, all of which they allowed our members to test drive (unfortunately we did have rain on Vendors Day).

We had an antique apparatus display and pumping exhibit and wrapped up Saturday Morning with Waterball competition.

To all our Miss Flame Contestants "Great Job" and "Great Presentations" and congratulations to the 2018 Miss Flame, 1st Runner Up and Miss Congeniality.

As well congratulations to all of our 2018 Award Winners, and please don't forget to send us your nominees for 2019. There are many others just as deserving within our association -- let's hear from you.

And to our newly and or re-elected officers both men and auxiliary, the challenge is on you to operate, run, build and grow our associations. With all the support of our memberships WE CAN DO IT.

If you were unable to attend, click here to view the photos! We will soon video and testimony about it on this site so that you can see what you missed and hopefully make plans for the upcoming 2019 IVFA State Convention in Michigan City.

Let's grow our conventions with activity, education, information and attendance.
