Welcome to the Indiana Volunteer Firefighters Association web site. We are a statewide organization focused on supporting those issues that are most relevant to Indiana's firefighters.
The Hoosier state is filled with many dedicated firefighters, both volunteer and career. It takes a special person to step up and dedicate their life to such a noble service. Thank you for protecting your communities as you do, for the time you put into training, public education, community functions and the many long hours away from your families to help your neighbor or those who are just passing through.
I am honored to have been selected by our membership to be the next leader of the organization. For those that do not know me that well, I would like to introduce myself and give you all a little background. I joined the fire service in 1994. I have served on the Utica Twp. Fire Department, New Chapel Fire Company, and worked for Kings Island Fire & Safety during my fire service career. I am currently both paid and a volunteer here in Indiana. I joined the IVFA in 1994. I served ten years as the District 16 Chairman and two years as your Vice President. I have also served on several committees over the years and have been a member of the Indiana L.A.S.T. / Supporting Heroes Memorial Team since 2011.
I would like to take this time to thank my wife, family, chiefs, friends, the membership and everyone else who has supported me over the years. Without the guidance from some of the other leadership in this organization this opportunity would have not been possible. As I said before, I am very humbled and honored to join the elite group that has had the honor of serving as President of our Association.
Once again I would like to thank you all! As always if you should need anything please feel free to contact me at any time and I look forward to meeting as many of you as I can as I travel our great state.
Paul Holcomb
President, IVFA
