Ask him to please help us get HB 1064 through the Senate
by allowing HB 1064 to at least get a committee hearing so they know how desperate Volunteer Fire Departments view this as a much needed
Recruitment Opportunity

Provides that a public safety officer may be eligible for a scholarship for educational costs of completing a certificate program or associate degree program at Ivy Tech Community College. Let him know as a Volunteer Firefighter and a constituent of his, you are requesting his help and support.

If you live elsewhere in the State still contact the Senator and ask him to support HB 1064 but let him know you are not his constituent but a dedicated public servant (a Volunteer Firefighter) and we need members and we are hopeful this bill will help in our recruitement efforts

Please let the Senator know how musch we need this bill in an attempt to recruite new and younger members.

With the decline of Volunteer Firefighters in Indiana (and around the County) we need every opportunity to entice and encourage our community youth to join their local VFD.
The offer of a Two Year Associates Degree “free Tuition” from IVY TECH may be a start to a solution.

If you would please copy me on any email so I can track the number and work the bill from inside the State House.
